Chaplains
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) employs two Chaplains to support and counsel firefighters, other staff, retired personnel and their families who are facing a personal or family crisis or are having problems dealing with a difficult incident.
Senior Chaplain Lyndsay Smith and his wife, Chaplain Dawn Smith, both Majors in the Salvation Army, provide counselling and referral services to firefighters throughout NSW, and, in some cases, to members of the public who are affected by major incidents.
Major Lyndsay Smith also conducts weddings, funerals and christenings for FRNSW firefighters, staff, retired personnel and their families.
Ranks
These insignia identify the ranks of FRNSW Permanent and Retained Firefighters.
