Fire and Rescue NSW crews aiding community clean-up efforts - Mid-north coast

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews are pitching in to help communities clean-up after the devastating flood emergency on the state's mid-north coast.
At Taree, Kempsey and outlying areas, more than 150 firefighters, using 39 tankers, known as 'Storm Water Damage' teams, are assisting the SES-led operations.
The firefighters are using their fire hoses to wash out silt and mud from main streets and badly affected properties, and are sweeping premises where they can.
Another FRNSW crew is assisting clean-up efforts around Wyong on the Central Coast.
FRNSW is also using Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) or drones to provide an aerial view of required clean-up locations.
Another 18 FRNSW teams have been assigned by the SES to conduct Rapid Damage Assessments of critical infrastructure and property.
