Northern Rivers emergency protection enhanced with $2 million upgrade at Alstonville fire station - Alstonville

The Northern Rivers is home to a new state-of-the-art fire station after the NSW Government invested more than $2 million rebuilding Alstonville station, improving fire-protection in the region.
Alstonville has been upgraded to provide its firefighters with a modern facility improving safety and wellbeing for the crew and community.
The new-look station features improved training and storage facilities, leading to easier crew movement and quicker responses to local emergencies.
Other upgrades include the separation of ‘clean’ and ‘dirty’ personal protection equipment storage, designated ‘clean’ zones and improved ventilation in engine bays.
The diverse needs of modern firefighting have also been addressed with the addition of new bathroom facilities.
Work was completed at the 45-year-old station last month.
The NSW Government is investing $98.7 million in Fire and Rescue NSW’s capital program for new fleet and property improvements over the next year.
