Structure Fire - Rockdale

Fire and Rescue New South Wales (FRNSW) crews are working to extinguish a large waste pile and shed alight at Rockdale.
100 firefighters and 20 firefighting appliances are on the scene, and an excavator is working to remove excess waste materials.
An Emergency Alert has been issued for residents and visitors in the area. The alert advises residents to shelter indoors immediately, stay out of the smoke, close all windows, doors, vents, and turn off air conditioning.
Residents are advised to avoid the areas of Bay Street, West Botany Street, President Avenue and towards The Grand Parade.
