11/09/2019 - Moorebank warehouse fire

FRNSW, in conjunction with NSW Environment Protection Authority, NSW Police Force and NSW Ambulance are allowing the residents to return to Collie Circuit and Derwent Circuit, Moorebank following yesterday's warehouse fire. The smoke has been tested and is not toxic, but like any other smoke, it is still an irritant.

Advice for residents, businesses and schools affected by smoke in the area to close windows and doors. Any person suffering breathing difficulties should seek medical assistance.

There is also some discoloration of the local water in the Georges River at Moorebank which appears to be a non-toxic food additive. Further testing is underway to confirm this. In the mean time, Fire and Rescue NSW Hazmat crews have placed booms in the area.
