Construction Site Fire - East Killara

- house on fire nearing completion of construction
- no people missing or injured
- ruptured water mains
- over 40 firefighters in attendance
- 8 fire trucks (pumpers) and 1 aerial trucks (cherry picker)

Just before 2am this morning Fire and Rescue NSW crews from across Sydney’s north were called to reports of a large fire in a home that was under construction on Churchill Road in East Killara.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire had started and was developing rapidly in a house that was nearing completion of its construction.

Water supply issues were soon experienced with water mains rupturing. Fire and Rescue NSW increased the response to include additional crews to assist with relaying water to the scene.

Firefighting operations are continuing.
