House saved from granny flat fire - Greenacre

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have prevented fire from spreading from a granny flat to neighbouring homes today at Greenacre in Sydney's west.
The blaze broke out in Lauma Avenue just before 11am..
Firefighters arrived to find fire through the roof of the granny flat.
They quickly went to work, containing and extinguishing the flames within an hour.

Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
