Building Fire - Annandale

At approximately 5am this morning, Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) responded to reports of a building fire on Booth Lane, Annandale.
Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a garbage compactor at the rear of a commercial premises which was spreading under a nearby roller door.
Two residents were rescued from an awning above the fire and all other residents self-evacuated.
More than 50 firefighters battled the blaze for two hours before it was contained. NSW Police and NSW Ambulance were also in attendance.
Investigations are continuing.
