Truck Fire - Pillar Valley
Published: 27 Jul 2021 10:28pm
At approximately 10.00pm last night, Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) and NSW Rural Fire Service attended a motor vehicle crash between two trucks on the Pacific Highway, four kilometres outside of Tyndale.
Crews from both agencies arrived on scene to find both trucks fully involved in fire. Firefighters worked for more than four hours to extinguish the blaze.
Due to the large amount of foam used to fight the fire, a specialist FRNSW Hazmat crew was on scene to monitor water run off and prevent contaminates entering any nearby waterways.
Both drivers were uninjured however the highway was closed for several hours.
NSW Police and NSW Ambulance were also in attendance at the incident.
