Published: 24 Feb 2021 07:57am
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have managed to rescue a kitten who had become stuck down a storm water drain on Elva Street, Strathfield just before 8am this morning.
A group of students on their way to school noticed the kitten was being swept down the drain and immediately called Triple Zero (000). Firefighters from Concord Fire Station arrived on scene a short time later and, using a ladder were able to access the drain and safely remove the kitten.
Thankfully the kitten was uninjured and was dried off and taken to the RSPCA for further check ups.
