Bushfire - Bligh Park

Just after 2:30pm today firefighters from Fire and Rescue NSW and the Rural Fire Service responded to reports of an out of control bush fire near Surprise Cr, Bligh Park.
Crews reported large amounts of smoke visible on route and upgraded the incident requiring more firetrucks from Sydney’s Western Suburbs to fight the blaze which is currently in excess of three hectares.
More than twenty firefighters are currently on scene trying to contain the blaze and protect nearby properties.
Residents are advised to download the Fires Near Me app continue to monitor the situation.
UPDATE: 5:42pm
Fire has been extinguished by Fire and Rescue NSW and Rural Fire Service crews including a water bombing helicopter.
Crews remaining in attendance to to monitor and patrol the area.
