Quotes attributable to FRNSW Acting Assistant Commissioner Regional Operations, David Felton:
"This competition unites firefighters from across the state, and perhaps most importantly, tests and equips them with skills they can take back to their community.
“I’m delighted to see more firefighters getting involved and taking on the challenge.
“Our host, Casino Fire Station, has been successful at past Championships, hosting the event in 1997, 2002 and 2006.
“Casino’s team took out the State Titles in 2006, making it one to watch this year.
“At the end of the day, everyone is here to learn to better protect their communities, but I think the friendly rivalry between teams makes it all the more fun."
