Firefighters battle large factory fire

Almost 100 Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters have extinguished a large factory fire at Seven Hills, in Sydney’s west.

FRNSW dispatched 23 fire trucks to the chemical business in Prince William Drive just after 9.30 last night.

Fire crews were confronted by a series of explosions, and intense flames issuing from the roof of the complex.

Firefighters attacked the blaze from several angles and used aerial platforms to suppress it from above.

It took about an hour to control the fire, which crews prevented from spreading to neighbouring properties.

No-one was injured during the incident.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and fire crews continue to monitor the scene.
