Office fire in Sutherland

Firefighters from Sutherland, Miranda and Menai were called to a fire in an office on Old Princess Highway at Sutherland early this morning. Fire crews were quickly on scene to find smoke coming from an upstairs office. Firefighters forced entry into the premises to contain and extinguish the blaze. One occupant suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital by ambulance officers. The office was ventilated and firefighters carried out clean up work to minimise further damage.
