Clearing clutter post copy:

Spring cleaning? Clearing clutter is about more than tidying. Keep hallways, doors and windows clear so everyone can get out quickly in a fire.

Take a few minutes to check your escape routes while you're cleaning.

Household chemicals post copy:

Spring cleaning is a good time to check what's hiding in the cupboard. Safely clear out old or unwanted household chemicals and keep anything you’re holding onto stored securely and in its original container.

Always dispose of unwanted chemicals safely. Contact your local council for information on upcoming Household Chemical Clean out events.

Reduce the risk post copy:

Spring is a good time to clear out what's built up around your home. Remove leaves and debris from gutters and cut back overgrown vegetation close to the house.

Keeping these areas clear can help reduce the risk as bushfire season approaches.

BBQ maintenance post copy:

Spring is a good time to get the BBQ ready for warmer weather. Clean away built-up grease and fat from grills, trays and drip pans before firing it up.

While you're there, check gas hoses and connections for signs of damage or leaks.
