Woman suffers severe burns in house fire - Kingswood Park

A woman has suffered severe burns in a house fire in Kingswood Park near Penrith this afternoon.
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) received numerous Triple Zero (000) calls to the blaze in Lethbridge Street just after 2.00pm.
More than 30 firefighters and eight fire trucks responded to the incident and upon arrival, crews found the two-storey home well alight.
Firefighters quickly got to work and contained and extinguished the fire on the ground floor in approximately 15 minutes.
A woman was evacuated from the property, suffering severe burns. She was initially treated on scene by firefighters until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived before being transported to hospital. No other injuries were reported.
Crews are mopping up, extinguishing hot spots and ventilating the home.
Once operations are complete, investigations will commence into the cause of the fire.
