Firefighters prevent house fire from spreading to neighbouring homes - Belrose
Published: 22 Jan 2026 02:30pm
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews are extinguishing a fire that has destroyed a home this morning at Belrose on Sydney's northern beaches.
The blaze broke out just after 10am in the detached garage of the two-storey home in Pembroke Place.
Flames consumed a boat and then spread to the ground and upper floors of the house.
At least nine fire trucks, including a ladder platform and rescue pumper, responded to the scene and firefighters quickly accounted for all occupants.
They identified that at least one wall was close to collapse and contained the fire, preventing it from spreading to neighbouring homes, just metres away.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Once the scene has been declared safe, investigations will begin to determine the cause.
