House Fire - Lavington

Time of incident: 14 Oct 2020 - 1:25pm

Shortly before 1:30pm, Fire and Rescue NSW received reports of a house fire, on Dale Corner, Lavington, following a call to Triple Zero (000).

Three Fire Stations from the Albury region arrived on scene a short time later and discovered smoke issuing from the side of a single level home.

Crews were able to contain the blaze it to the room of origin and stop is spreading further into the home.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing.

NSW Police and NSW Ambulance were on scene however, no injuries were sustained a result of the blaze.

With Fire and Rescue NSW crews attending multiple house fires this week, Acting Superintendent, Scott Dodson said it was a timely reminder for the residents to develop their fire escape plan.

"Now is the time for residents to check they have a working smoke alarm and that all members of the family have an awareness of calling Triple Zero (000) in an emergency" he said.
