House Fire - Ramsgate

Just before 5pm this evening, Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Sydney’s South responded to multiple Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a house fire on Ramsgate Road, Ramsgate.
Firefighters arrived to find a house totally involved in fire threatening other houses on each side.
Eight trucks with more than 30 firefighters battled the blaze and worked tirelessly to prevent fire spread.
The blaze was contained to the house of origin and was extinguished approximately one hour after crews arrived on scene.
Two residents were treated on scene by NSW Ambulance and taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.
Investigations into the cause of the fire are continuing.
Traffic was heavily impacted in the area and East-bound lanes are still blocked on Ramsgate Road. Please drive with caution.
