Car Crash - Bonnels Bay

At 9:30am, Fire and Rescue NSW were alerted to a car crash on Waikiki Road, Bonnells Bay following reports the driver had become trapped as a result of the crash.
Crews from Morisset Fire Station arrived on scene to find the driver had suffered from a medical episode and crashed into a nearby power pole and electricity box before coming to rest in a fence.
Firefighters worked with NSW Ambulance paramedics to safely extricate the man from the car. He was safely released a short time later and treated on scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Firefighters rendered the area safe and are now working with energy authorities to rectify the broken power pole.
