House Fire - The Ponds

Just after 3:30pm, Sunday October 5, Fire and Rescue NSW responded to numerous Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a house alight on Megalong St, The Ponds.

Eight crews from Sydney's Western Suburbs arrived on scene to find large volumes of smoke issuing from the roof of the property, threatening neighbouring homes.

Firefighters managed to quickly gain control of the fire and prevent the it from spreading to properties nearby, however the home was extensively damaged.

All residents managed to safely evacuate and were uninjured.
