Flooding - Campsie

At 10:15am today, Fire and Rescue NSW were alerted to reports of a burst water main in a basement on Campsie St, Campsie, after a call to Triple Zero (000).
On arrival crews from Campsie and Liverpool Fire Stations found a water pipe had bust in a large basement carpark, damaging a number of cars and lift wells.
Firefighters brought in a large specialist water pump and hose to help assist in removing the large volume of water out of the basement, this procedure is ongoing and expected to take a number of hours.
Campsie St is currently closed as emergency services continue to render the area safe. NSW Police are in attendance to assist with traffic management and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
