FRNSW plucks puppy out of a tight squeeze - VIDEO - Swansea Heads

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have carried out a mission to rescue a wayward puppy which fell into a sewer pipe today at Lake Macquarie.
Emergency services were called to the incident at a home in Northcote Avenue, Swansea Heights, around 1pm.
FRNSW firefighters found the pet Cavoodle had fallen about 1.5 metres into the narrow pipe and was unable to climb out.
Crews carefully deployed an 'animal catch pole', gently tightening the cable loop around the puppy's midriff to secure the curious canine, get it around a bend in the pipe, and lift it to safety.
The rescue mission was completed in less than half an hour, with the adventurous pup handed back to its delighted owner.
