Firefighters assist child after playground incident - Strathfield

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) firefighters have assisted a child, badly injured in a playground mishap at Strathfield, in Sydney's inner west.
The crew from the Burwood Fire Station was called to the playground in Homebush Road just before 1.30pm.
They discovered the five-year-old girl's hand had become stuck in a carousel.
NSW Police, NSW Ambulance and Council staff tended to the child whilst firefighters located her two severed finger tips.
The young patient has been taken to The Children's Hospital at Westmead for emergency treatment.
