House Fire - Ingleburn
Published: 16 Mar 2022 11:01am
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have overcome heavy fire conditions to extinguish a blaze at a house in Ingleburn in South Western Sydney overnight.
Fire crews arrived at Piggott Way to find a two-storey house engulfed with flames just before 8pm last night.
Firefighters donned breathing apparatus to conduct a search and rescue operation. However, they found the home was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
NSW Police located the occupant of the property at another address nearby.
The cause of the blaze will be determined by FRNSW's Fire Investigation Unit with the help of the unit's Accelerant Detection Canine.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life-threatening or time-critical situations.
