House Fire - Moorebank
Published: 21 Mar 2021 10:54am
Just before 11 am this morning, Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) received multiple Triple Zero (000) calls to a house alight on Thompson Avenue, Moorebank.
More than 20 Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze which was also threatening neighbouring properties.
The occupants of the house were alerted to the fire, which started in a room to the rear of the house, by a working smoke alarm and all members of the family including two children were able to safely evacuate unharmed.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said FRNSW is attending numerous house fires and that it was a timely reminder for residents to develop their fire escape plan.
"Now is the time for residents to check they have a working smoke alarm and that all members of the family have an awareness of calling Triple Zero (000) in an emergency," he said.
