Unit Fire - Granville

Firefighters are currently battling a fire that broke out at a unit on Meehan Street, Granville just before 4pm.
Initial investigations suggest a gas cylinder exploded and started a fire in the kitchen of the unit. Neighboring units have been evacuated as a precaution.
Firefighters have brought the fire under control just after 4.30pm and are now ventilating the unit and working to extinguish hot spots.
As a result of the incident one male occupant has suffered minor burns and is being treated on scene by NSW Ambulance.
Meehan Street is currently closed as emergency services continue to make the area safe.
