House Fire - Epping

Just before 9pm Tuesday, 20 October, Fire and Rescue NSW responded to reports of a house fire on Essex St, Epping.
Crews from Eastwood, Rhodes and Rydalmere Fire Stations arrived on scene to find large flames threatening the roof of the home as a result of a ruptured gas main nearby.
Firefighters worked quickly to minimise damage to the home while working with the utility company to shut off the gas main.
NSW Ambulance were also in attendance however no injuries were reported.
A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesperson said this is a timely reminder that calling Triple Zero (000) for a fire emergency can be the difference between life and death, or a building or other property being saved or destroyed.
The Triple Zero (000) service is the quickest way to get the right resources from emergency services to help you. It should be used to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance services in life threatening or time critical situations.
