Just after 6:15am this morning, Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Bankstown Fire Station were called to Neville St, Bass Hill following reports of a truck fire.
On arrival, crews found a truck with a large load of recycling that had caught alight. The driver was able to dump the load on the road, away from hazards and risks - preventing the blaze spreading to the cabin of the truck.
Firefighters worked to quickly extinguish the fire and render the area safe. Neville St is closed while Canterbury Bankstown Council work to clear the rubbish from the road. If you are in the area please drive with caution.
