Building Fire - Caringbah

Fire and Rescue NSW are responding to reports of a building fire Mansfield Ave, Caringbah.
Triple Zero (000) calls report thick black smoke coming from the single level row of shops that include a clothes shop and medical centre.
Multiple crews from the Sutherland Area are currently in attendance first crews on scene reporting a fire in the exhaust of the Chinese restaurant.
All people have been evacuated from nearby businesses.

UPDATE: 6PM
Fire located in Rangehood, extinguished by hoselines. Smoke Cleared from roof space, electrician notified to rectify power issues. 2 patients treated by ambulance, site handed over to owner.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said the leading cause of house fires in NSW is leaving cooking unattended and it was important the community remembered to keep looking when cooking.
"If your cooking catches fire, never use water to put out a fat or oil fire, turn off the stove if it is safe to do so and call Triple Zero (000)."
