House Fire - South Granville

Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Western Sydney were called to a home on Dixmude Street, South Granville this morning after a number of Triple Zero (000) calls were received reporting a house fire.
Crews arrived just after 9am to find a single-level home well alight. The fire was extinguished in approximately 10 minutes.
All occupants of the house self evacuated. One person was transported to hospital.
The cause of the fire is believed to be an electrical fault, involving a flat screen television.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said FRNSW is attending numerous house fires and that it was a timely reminder for residents to develop their fire escape plan.
"Now is the time for residents to check they have a working smoke alarm and that all members of the family have an awareness of calling Triple Zero (000) in an emergency," he said.
