Large House Fire - Bellbird
Published: 12 Jul 2020 06:46pm
Just before 7pm this evening Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to reports of a house fire on Tennant St in Bellbird.
Multiple Fire and Rescue NSW crews arrived to find a house fully involved in fire.
They immediately got to work using hose lines to cool gas cylinders and protect exposed buildings.
The fire is now under control and will be extinguished shortly.
Superintendent Adam Dewberry from Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) said FRNSW is attending numerous house fires and that it was a timely reminder for residents to develop their fire escape plan.
"Now is the time for residents to check they have a working smoke alarm and that all members of the family have an awareness of calling Triple Zero (000) in an emergency," he said.
