Unit Fire - Orange

Just after 7:50am, Fire and Rescue NSW responded to a block of units on Margaret St, Orange after a Triple Zero (000) caller reported seeing smoke coming from the complex.
Orange Fire Station arrived on scene to find a fire in the kitchen of one of the units.
Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the fire and were able to contain the blaze to the room of origin.
The resident of the home managed to safely evacuate, however was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance for smoke inhalation.
