ICAC Report

The NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) recently provided a report to Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) and the Minister for Police and Emergency Services following investigations into allegations against a small number of staff in two sections of FRNSW. ICAC has determined that it is not in the public interest to hold a public inquiry due to the nature of the findings following their investigation, and also in recognition of the cooperation and work done to date by FRNSW.

FRNSW Commissioner Greg Mullins has welcomed the report, which acknowledges the substantial body of work and reforms undertaken by FRNSW in the past 18 months to improve governance, corruption prevention and overall processes across the organisation. The report will assist FRNSW to continue the strong focus on change management, and this is reflected in our response to the recommendations.
