Vapour explosion in Dubbo

Firefighters from Dubbo and Delroy were called to vapour explosion at Yarrandale Road in Dubbo this morning. A tank was being cleaned with a flammable solvent which ignited causing an explosion. One person was injured and taken to hospital. Ten people were evacuated from the premises while firefighters in breathing apparatus used gas detectors to check for any build up of flammable vapours. The occupants were allowed to return when fire crews declared the area safe.
