MVA, Truck Overturned M5 Mwy
Published: 15th January 2008
At 12.52 pm Firefighters from Revesby were called to an Motor Vehicle Accident where a Truck had overturned. On arrival the crew found a truck carrying a 15metre container had rolled onto its side, on a bridge over the M5 motorway. There were no injuries or spillage but part of the container, and the damage it caused to the bridge railing were overhanging the bridge. This dangerous situation caused the M5 to be closed to traffic for fear of falling debris causing an accident. The Revesby Firefighters remained on scene until the truck had been cleared. This took salvage crews three hours but the M5 took considerably longer to clear.
