Bradbury house fire

Published: 6th October 2007

Firefighters from Campbelltown, Rosemeadow and St Andrews responded to a triple zero (000) call to a house alight at Docharty Crescent in Bradbury this evening. Upon arrival smoke was coming from a two storey townhouse with flames coming from the ground floor window. With reports that residents may still be inside fire crews attacked the fire that was burning in the downstairs area, quickly bringing it under control, while a search was conducted upstairs. The search, which was hampered by thick smoke, revealed there was no one in the house. Considerable heat and smoke damage occurred throughout the downstairs living area and there was moderate heat and smoke damage to the rest of the house. The townhouses on either side of the property were not affected.
