Fire in an office building at Homebush
Published: 18th September 2007
A kitchen fire in a three level office building was brought under control and extinguished by fire crews from Concord, Burwood, Rhodes and Chester Hill. Firefighters were alerted to the fire via the buildings automatic detection system and arrived at the Richmond Road Homebush address to find the fire on the second level. Two people were evacuated and crews extinguished the fire before it could spread. Large fans were used to clear the smoke from the building. The kitchen and an adjoining office were severely damaged by the blaze.
