Restaurant fire at Pendle Hill
Published: 14th July 2007
Seven Hills, Merrylands, Northmead and Parramatta fire crews were called to a fire in a restaurant in Pendle Way at Pendle Hill before lunchtime. The first firefighters on scene reported smoke pouring from the restaurant. Fire crews, wearing breathing apparatus, quickly contained and extinguished the blaze that started in the kitchen. Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to check the ceiling space, ensuring that the blaze was completely extinguished. A large fan was used to clear the building of smoke and fire crews carried out clean up work. There were no reports of any injuries.
