Beverley Hills shop fire

Published: 9th July 2007

Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received in the early hours of this morning to a fire in a shop on King Georges Road at Beverley Hills. Firefighters from Riverwood, Hurstville, Lakemba and Mortdale contained the fire to the single level shop and carried out a search to ensure that there were no occupants. Smoke entered the adjoining shops which were ventilated with large fans. The fire caused extensive damage to the shop and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
