Explosion at Hay High School

Firefighters from Hay were called to fire in a local high school early this morning. Local fire crews arrived within five minutes to find that there had been an explosion in a two storey building containing a school laboratories and a library. The explosion had caused a fire which was quickly extinguished. The building suffered extensive damage to both the structure and the contents of both levels. The cause of the incident is being investigated.
