Midmorning today NSWFB Comms Centre in Sydney started receiving numerous Triple Zero calls to a petrol station on fire in Broad Arrow Rd, Narwee. Firefighters from Riverwood, Mortdale and Lakemba were responded to the scene. On arrival the firefighters have identified a fire involving the fuel bowsers, a car, and threatening to spread to the shop, at which point they upgraded the response. Firefighters from Hurstville, Revesby, Kogarah, Campsie, Hurstville, Alexandria, a Hazmat unit from Greenacre and the Duty Commander from Kogarah responded to assist. Firefighters confirmed that the service station attendant had shut the emergency fuel shutoffs.
