Shop fire in Cronulla

In the early hours of this morning firefighters from Cronulla, Miranda, Sutherland, Kogarah and the Duty Commander responded to a fire in a shop on the Kingsway, Cronulla. Fire crews were on scene in four minutes to find the shop well alight and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used fire hoses to contain and extinguish the blaze. Fifteen people were evacuated from a nearby residence during the fire. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
