Building fire in Thirroul

Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received this afternoon to a fire in a building on Lawrence Hargrave Drive, Thirroul. Firefighters from Coledale, Thirroul, Bulli and Wollongong responded to the fire with the first crews on scene in seven minutes. Crews reported two fires burning in the building, one on the ground floor, the other on level two. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly extinguished both fires limiting damage to the building. The cause of the fires is being investigated.
