Storage facility fire contained but still expanding

Firefighters are continuing to battle an out-of-control blaze inside a Chipping Norton storage facility in Sydney’s southwest.
Around 80 firefighters and 20 trucks are still on scene today on Governor Macquarie Drive, where the fire broke out just before 2pm yesterday.
Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have worked through the night to gain control but are facing difficult conditions against the deep-seated fire, with operations hampered by internal structural collapse.
The expanding blaze is contained inside the storage facility.
Governor Macquarie Drive is still closed in both directions.
An emergency warning has been lifted but is under constant review. Local residents are urged to avoid the area and keep their windows and doors shut.
One person has been treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for smoke inhalation and transported to hospital.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
