Around 130 firefighters are continuing to battle a blaze burning out of control at Chipping Norton, in Sydney's south west.
The fire broke out in a storage facility in Governor Macquarie Drive just before 2pm.
Crews from 22 Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) appliances have since been attacking the flames, trying to gain the upper hand.
Authorities evacuated around 30 workers from adjacent businesses.
FRNSW has not received any reports of injuries.
The blaze has destroyed the complex's main building and is continuing to expand.
The fire crews are determined to stop the fire from spreading.
An emergency warning has been issued to local residents to shut their doors and windows to avoid the impact of toxic black smoke generated by the fire.
Roads around the site remain closed and crews are expected to continue working through the night to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
