Modern upgrade for heritage-listed Fire and Rescue NSW station | Cootamundra

The NSW Government has invested $2.7 million upgrading Cootamundra’s heritage-listed fire station on the state’s south-west slopes.
The investment improves Fire and Rescue NSW’s ability to respond to emergencies.
Upgrades at Cootamundra include new engine bays improving access for fire trucks, additional storage space, new staff amenities and new facilities to help with clean-up after a hazardous waste incident.
Improvements to the 112-year-old building meet the needs of local firefighters while preserving this heritage-listed building’s distinctive façade.
These upgrades are the latest in a line of refurbishments and rebuilds across the state.
