Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews are continuing to provide specialist assistance to aid communities on the state’s north and mid-north coast.
As firefighters in the flood zones continue to assist the SES-led emergency operation, helping communities clean up the flood damage, additional fire crews left Sydney and the Central Coast today to lend a hand.
They will relieve firefighters who have been performing rescues, conducting welfare checks and cleaning up flood debris for almost a week.
In addition to carrying out Rapid Damage Assessments (RDAs), FRNSW crews will provide their Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) and Decontamination expertise to further protect the devastated townships.
