Fire and Rescue NSW teams rescue more than 100 people stranded in mid-north coast floodwaters | Mid-north coast

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews have rescued more than 100 people during the flood emergency underway on the state's mid-north coast.
FRNSW crews are on the ground in the Taree, Forster and Port Macquarie areas, supporting the SES-led emergency response, which has performed 289 flood rescues since midnight.
Strike Teams of metropolitan-based firefighters are being assisted by specially trained on-call and regional crews, many of them living in, or close to, the towns they are supporting.
The rescues have been carried out overnight and throughout the day.
One FRNSW in-water rescue team has played a critical role, conducting a series of operations to rescue 35 people — including one person experiencing cardiac arrest and another with a fractured pelvis.
