Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) teams deployed in the state’s north continue to support the State Emergency Service (SES)-led emergency response to Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
Today, FRNSW water rescue teams transported a resident home whose property had been isolated by water. On arrival, the team conducted an assessment of the property to ensure it was safe to remain.
Earlier this week, crews assisted a resident and their four legged, Bindi, across flood waters to safety.
FRNSW operations continue with Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) or drones preparing for supply drops.
Firefighters have continued to assist with clearing fallen trees, debris and making areas safe for residents.
The NSW SES is advising people to download the Hazards Near Me App which will include the latest warnings and information for impacted communities.
For assistance during floods and storms call the NSW SES on 132 500 or Triple Zero (000) for life threatening emergencies.
Visit www.ses.nsw.gov.au for the latest warnings and information.
